Room 13 - Prairie Studies

Room 13 has been finishing their look into the Prairies.
This week we have been writing about which occupation is the best to have on the Prairies.
We have studied ranchers, farmers and oil workers.
Ask your child which one they think is the best occupation to have on the prairies.
They should be able to tell you facts and opinions about them.

To finish our Prairies study, we looked into the lives of the Indigenous people .  We started our own Tipi community.

Each of our designs has a symbol for the earth, the sky and a prairie animal.

Now, we are preparing to study the Arctic next week!
Today, our buddies helped us draw a snowy owl.  Here are some of them and a picture of an owl that was seen by Ms. Betty in this community!  We think it is very big.

We are looking forward to learning more about the animals, people, land and traditions of this cold place.

Can you tell what kind of owl this is?
