This Week in Room 6

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Today we had a special performance of Pinocchio by The Alberta Opera! We also wanted to finish an art project so we did not have time to write in our TWAS books today.

This week we were working on opinions and facts. An opinion is something you believe to be true and a fact is something that is proven to be true.

In Art, we made the Aurora Borealis (The Northern Lights) out of chalk pastels. We are learning about the north part of Canada called the Arctic. Ask me about the Inuit legend we read about the Northern Lights. This week we also researched Arctic animals. Some of the animals we researched are arctic foxes, polar bears, arctic hares, puffins, beluga whales and snowy owls.

Next week is our field trip to the Glenbow Museum. We will go on Wednesday morning. We look forward to learning more about Inuit culture!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love,
